Calling all Parrot Heads...your fall beach getaway is almost here! Meeting of the Minds returns to Gulf Shores October 21–25, 2026, bringing five days of music, friendship, and island spirit to the Alabama Gulf Coast. Flora-Bama is proud to be one of this year’s event venues, alongside The Hangout and LuLu’s.
Whether you’re reconnecting with your Parrot Head crew or discovering the gathering for the first time, get ready to trade your everyday routine for beach views, great songs, and good company.
What Is Meeting of the Minds?
Meeting of the Minds, often called MOTM, is the annual convention of Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. (PHiP). It brings members of PHiP-sanctioned Parrot Head Clubs together for several days and nights of live music, food, and fellowship. With its Jimmy Buffett-inspired spirit and love of tropical sounds, the gathering is a chance to celebrate the music and friendships that bring the Parrot Head community together. Pack your favorite tropical shirt, gather your friends, and settle into a few days on the coast.
Flora-Bama Is Part of the Celebration
Your Meeting of the Minds plans should include a stop at Flora-Bama! Listed among the official event venues, our beachside honky-tonk on the Orange Beach, Alabama, and Perdido Key, Florida, line is ready to welcome the Parrot Head community. Since 1964, Flora-Bama has been a gathering place for people who love music and a good time. That makes MOTM a natural fit for our Bamily. Come connect with fellow music lovers, enjoy the beach-bar atmosphere, and make another memory at the state line.

Make Time for a Bushwacker and a Gulf View
Between activities, leave a little room to simply enjoy being at the beach. Flora-Bama offers live music year-round across multiple stages, along with beachfront bars and our famous Bushwacker. Find a spot with a Gulf view, catch another set, and enjoy an afternoon with your friends. You can also build a waterfront meal into your visit at Flora-Bama Yacht Club or Flora-Bama Ole River Grill. A full event itinerary is fun, but a little time to slow down belongs on the schedule, too.
Plan Your MOTM Visit
This year’s gathering runs Wednesday, October 21, through Sunday, October 25. Before heading out, visit motm.rocks for the official schedule, lodging information, and attendance details. Convention attendance requires membership in good standing with a PHiP-chartered Parrot Head Club. According to the event’s FAQs, convention credentials are required for The Hangout grounds and VIP Pool Deck Thursday through Saturday. Other dates and locations are open to the public, with individual venue rules applying. Check the details for each event you plan to attend.
